The Green Cross was founded in 1993 by Joanna Mckee. On September 10th 2002, after nine fruitful years of running Green Cross, with many changes, Joanna and Stich Miller, (co-founder), retired from Green Cross, in order to dedicate their time to marijuana activism and ministering to the spiritual needs of people.

Sue Watson was named Directer of Green Cross September 10th 2002, when Joanna and Stich retired. A year later "of Seattle" was added to the Green Cross name for clarification. It didn't appear to be enough of a change when Stich and Joanna became active again, so Sue parted ways with the old co-op and in March of 2006 she opened a new organization under the name EMERALD CROSS. It seemed to be perfect since it was already the home of "EMERALD RUB".

At Emerald Cross, we encourage patients to utilize numerous methods of medicating beyond smoking MMJ. We educate them on the variety of methods that can be used any time any place, such as; herbal tinctures and teas, medicated baked goods, cannabis candy, including chocolates, and oral sprays for quick dosing, sore throats and tooth aches and topical applications for pain, swelling, gout, cuts, burns, scratches, rashes, insect bites, sunburns, dry, chapped skin, herpes, stiff necks, headaches, (even migraines) arthritis, tendinitis and more. We also offer classes for patients on Washington State Medical Marijuana laws and how to grow medicine for themselves.

Not only have we developed "EMERALD RUB", "EMERALD TOPICAL SPRAY", and "EMERALD ORAL SPRAY", GREEN CROSS OF SEATTLE has published a large print medical marijuana cook book, with recipes by MMJ patients, compiled by clinic director Sue M. Watson and author of 'Running Out of Road', Robert M. Appleton Jr.; 'The Feel Good Cook Book.'

EMERALD CROSS MISSION STATEMENT

Emerald Cross is a private, not for profit organization of Washington State medical marijuana, (MMJ), patients whose mission is to assist each other through counseling, support, information, education, verification and registry. The Emerald Cross is open to Washington State residents that present a bona fide need for medicinal cannabis on the advice of their physician or other health care professionals.
